Mann Packing, a major produce supplier out of California, has issued a voluntary recall of their products due to a positive test result for listeria. The recall is widespread and affects packaged products sold in stores such as Walmart, Whole Foods, Meijer, and Trader Joe’s throughout the U.S. and Canada.
To date, no illnesses have been linked to the products in question but it’s still important to be cautious. The recall includes fresh packaged produce such as bags of broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, salad kits, slaw, “nourish bowls,” and veggie trays with “best if used by” dates from October 11th through October 20th. One of Mann’s products received a positive result for listeria after a random sampling was tested by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. Gina Nucci, the marketing director for Mann, encourages any customers who purchased the affected product to return it to the store where it was purchased.
