Apple-Brown Sugar Quick Bread

Apple-Brown Sugar Bread

1 hour, 15 minutes to prepare serves 8-10

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 apples, peeled and grated
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

PREPARATION

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 4×8-inch loaf pan. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs and stir to combine.
  3. Add baking soda, salt, and cinnamon, and stir until well incorporated. Then, add flour and mix until combined. Fold in apples.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 1 hour.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool in pan 10-15 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
