Pound cakes are famous! There’s like a hundred recipe out there, you just get lost choosing! Well, I’m making it easy for you, this apple harvest pound cake with caramel glaze is simple, easy and super delicious! Check it out.
You’ll Need:
2 cups of white sugar.
1 ½ cups of vegetable oil.
2 tsps of vanilla extract.
3 eggs.
3 cups of all purpose flour.
1 tsp of baking soda.
½ tsp of ground cinnamon.
1 tsp of salt.
2 medium, peeled, cored and chopped Granny Smith apples.
1 cup of chopped walnuts.
½ cup of butter or margarine.
2 tsps of milk.
½ cup of brown sugar.
How to:
Beat the sugar, oil, vanilla and eggs together in a large bowl until light and fluffy using an electric mixer.
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt and mix with the batter until well combined.
With a spoon, mix in the apples and walnuts and pour the batter in a greased 9 inch bundt pan.
In a preheated oven to 350° bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Let the cake cool in the pan for 20 minutes before transferring it into a wire rack to cool completely.
In a small saucepan, heat the butter, milk and brown sugar over medium heat and bring to a boil stirring constantly.
Drizzle the glaze over the warm cake and voila!
