When it comes to chocolate chip banana bread I am always a willing participant in making it and eating it! I love the texture and the taste. Chocolate chip banana bread is one of those recipes that are very easy to follow. seriously, if you are a beginning baker I suggest you start out with a simple banana bread. You’ll be so proud of yourself when you pull your first loaf out of the oven. Oh, and your house will smell mighty fine, too!
I can never wait to enjoy this bread when I make it, either.
Ingredients
2 c Gold Medal flour (1-3/4 c if using whole wheat)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp Morton salt
1/4 c Kerrygold butter
3/4 c Domino sugar
1 egg
2-3 bananas (I like to use the over-ripe bananas left at the end of the week)
3 Tbl sour milk
!/2 c chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350* Grease and flour 4×8 loaf pan.
Cream butter and add sugar. Beat thoroughly.
Add egg.
Peel and mash bananas with a fork. Add to creamed mixture.
Then add milk and dry ingredients alternately. Mix until blended.
Stir in chips/nuts if using.
Pour into pan.
Bake 50-60 minutes at 350*
Spread butter on top of loaf when removing from the oven.
