Don’t Serve This To ANYONE – Unless You’re Prepared To Share The Recipe!
I don’t know about you, but when it comes to cakes I prefer recipes that are easy to make. And by easy I mean so simple that I can throw them together in minutes! Ain’t nobody got time for sifting, blending, boiling and all that stuff, that the more experienced bakers always seem to be doing. I don’t have those kind of skills so I’d rather use recipes I know I can handle!
Some people seem to think a recipe has to be challenging, to turn out delicious. Ha! I dare you give this one a try – it’s one of the easiest cakes I’ve ever made and still it turns out amazing every time. I’ve made this so often that it could basically be considered my signature cake. However, I can’t take credit for the recipe – I found it on Genius Kitchen, and I am so happy I did!
And if you feel a little adventurous, you can swap out the pineapple for fruit cocktail. It still turns out great, every time!
This recipe has gotten some really great feedback over at Genius Kitchen. Let’s take a look at what one of the readers had to say about it:
I made this yesterday to take to a church dinner today. This is the first time I have ever taken a cake to a dinner and only brought home 3 pieces! It was a huge hit. I made it like the recipe said although I also poked holes in it as soon as I took it out of the oven and then immediately dumped the topping on. Very moist and delicious!
That is an awesome tip, to poke holes in the cake! I will definitely give it a go next time I make this. Which will be soon!
