I keep seeing wooden bead garlands and figured I’d get in on the trend. Check out this one I made for Easter.

Pick up a dozen plastic eggs, some wooden beads, and string.

First step is to drill a hole in to each end of the plastic eggs.

Then, you’re gonna thread a needle with the string you have.

Use a larger needle, I picked up a pack of 3 for $3 at Walmart.

I then decided on a pattern with the beads, and began to thread them. You can also choose to stain the beads, but I chose not to- I love the natural look.

To finish off the garland I made a jute tassel for each end. I just used a piece of cardboard and wrapped the jute around it about 25 times and then pulled it off cardboard.

Then I wrapped the jute around the folded part a few times about and 1.5” down from top.

Then I snipped the other end to make my fringe!

I then used the needle and string to sew the tassel to the end of the garland.

Now it is done! It’s about 3 ft long.

It looks so pretty on my mantel!
