Fabulously Frosted Apple Cake Will Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth

Apples are my favorite fruit in the whole wide world. I love them. There are so many different varieties to choose from. I think my favorites would have to be Pink Lady, Jazz, and honey crisp. My least favorite is red delicious as I prefer a tarter apple. How about you? If you could only eat one type of apple for the rest of your life which one would it be? I think I’d have to go with Pink Lady. Even my dog loves this variety! Pink Lady apples are so luscious and juicy.
I love making desserts and applesauce with my favorite apples. This apple cake really caught my eye because of how many apples go into it plus a large serving of applesauce. The brown sugar frosting is absolutely amazing. I’m telling ya, after one bite you will be enraptured by apple and brown sugar bliss.

 Once you try this brown sugar frosting you won’t ever turn back to white sugar again! Where I live in Pennsylvania the locals refer to this type of frosting as “burnt sugar.” I’d never heard of this before moving here from the midwest and boy oh boy am I ever glad that I’ve discovered this little gem! I love fall baking and this apple cake is the epitome of October goodies.
