Lavender Lemonade – An Effective Remedy for Headaches & Anxiety

Lavender Lemonade Remedy

Ingredients:

  • 5 cups of water
  • 1 cup of raw honey
  • Freshly squeezed lemon juice (out of 6 lemons)
  • 1 drop of lavender essential oil (or ¼ cup of dried organic culinary lavender)
  • Lavender sprigs for garnish

Instructions:

  • Boil 2½ cups of water
  • Add the oil drop and the honey and let it steep for 20min.
  • Strain the mixture into a jar or a bottle
  • Pour the lemon juice along with the remaining water and stir
  • Store the liquid in the fridge until it’s perfectly chilled

Keep in mind that most of the essential oils on the market are safe for consumption, only in tiny amounts. So, avoid using more than 1 drop per recipe.

However, you can alter the taste of the beverage to suit your preferences. For a sweeter taste, add more honey or reduce the sweetness by adding water.

In case you can’t grasp the idea of ingesting the lavender essential oil, we have a few more suggestions on how to use lavender around the house for you:

  • Dissolve 10-12 drops of oil into a spray bottle filled with water. Spray the living room air to relieve stress
  • Add 5-6 drops of the essential oil in your bathtub water to hydrate your skin
  • Relax the mind, improve your sleep, hydrate the skin and deter insects with the combination of your favorite unrefined organic oil with a light scent and 2 drops of lavender essential oil.

For the most part, the lavender essential oil will have rather magical effects on you and the living environment.
