Are you ready to try the best chili on that cold winters’ day? Well this one will be sure to hit the spot and make all the souls warm and ready to sit by the fire and relax.
Let’s Get Started…
Here’s What You Need:
-
2 pounds lean ground beef (90% lean)
-
2 cans (16 ounces each) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
-
2 cans (14-1/2 ounces each) diced tomatoes, undrained
-
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
-
2 medium onions, chopped
-
1 green pepper, chopped
-
2 garlic cloves, minced
-
2 tablespoons chili powder
-
2 teaspoons salt, optional
-
1 teaspoon pepper
-
Shredded cheddar cheese, optional
How To Put It Together:
- In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until it’s not pink then drain.
- Transfer into a 5-qt. slow cooker and add the next 9 ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours. Garnish individual servings with cheese if you’d like.
Now if you’d like, add some homemade cornbread. I actually prefer a peanut butter sandwich with chili, being from a southern state and it’s ready to go! Warm your hearts and enjoy!
