I love these bubble biscuit meatballs! We ate them on a Sunday afternoon while watching football. Such a great appetizer or entree option.
Check out what my pals over at Pillsbury had to say about this recipe:
Ah, the holidays. On top of school, work and everything else that normally fills your day, add parties, family commitments and travel — now your to-do list is two feet. Coming up with quick dinner ideas the whole family will love is probably low on the list. But it doesn’t have to be! This delicious bubble-up bake preps in just 10 minutes and is perfect for those busy nights.
I served this yummy casserole with both marinara sauce and Ranch dressing. Both tasted pretty dang good.
Ingredients
1 can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Homestyle refrigerated original biscuits
1 bag (16 oz) frozen cooked Italian meatballs
1 green bell pepper, diced, sautéed
3 cups Newman’s Own marinara sauce
2 cups Kraft shredded Italian cheese blend (8 oz)
Grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil, if desired
Instructions
1 Heat oven to 350°F.
2 Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Cut each biscuit into 6 pieces; place in large bowl. Add meatballs, sautéed bell pepper and marinara sauce; stir until well coated.
3 Pour into ungreased 13×9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish. Sprinkle Italian cheese blend evenly over top.
4 Bake 35 minutes or until biscuit pieces are puffed and cheese is melted and golden brown.
5 Before serving, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and if desired, chopped fresh basil.
