Oh wow! I just stumbled upon a fantastic salted caramel apple cake recipe last week. Thank heavens I happened to come across Allie’s blog, Through Her Looking Glass, because this cake went straight to my Top 5 list of all-time! There’s something about that combination of salty and sweet that I simply cannot resist. And I know you can’t, either!

Allie’s cake is not only delicious and gorgeous – it is also super easy to make. You’d never believe it by looking at it; it’s definitely one of the most inviting and mouthwatering cakes I’ve ever managed to make. It really looks like it took hours of hard work to put together!

But the truth is, you mix all the ingredients in one bowl. You heard me; just one bowl! And you can forget about creaming the butter or any of the usual fuss that often takes place whenever you’re making a cake. Not with this one! You literally just mix things together – how great is that?
