Spring is nearly here (or here already, depending on where you live)! I took my favorite coloring book page and added it to some beautiful Walnut Hollow wood plates to make a pretty spring cupcake stand.

Using a pretty spring page from an Adorn-it adult coloring book and tracing it onto the wood plates gave me a coloring book right on the plates!

I decided to use my wood burner to burn the design into the wood plates. The burned lines make a great guide when painting the design. The paint stays right in the lines, so your “coloring” looks neat and tidy!

Paint the design and seal it then let cure at least overnight.

glue a candlestick between the two plates to form the cupcake stand

and fill with your favorite cupcake treats! Isn’t it such a fun way to bring the love of coloring off the page and into real life?
