This Easy Apple Dumpling Pastry Is All You Need To Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth

This Easy Apple Dumpling Pastry Is All You Need To Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth

Follow me on Mama guide recipes

After my kids got home from school, these things didn’t stand a chance. They were excited to see Grandma, but they may have been slightly more pumped up about the warm and ooey gooey sweet treat that was waiting for them. “These are delicious Grandma! Oh, so good!” Excuse me children, I helped. Well, at least a little. Now I know how to make them though so I can make them whenever I want without Grandma’s help. Check out what they are saying about this recipe over at The Pioneer Woman:

“Oh, baby. Honestly, these are to die for. See how crispy they are on top, and how soft and dumpling-y they are on the bottom? That combination of textures is what’s so delicious.”

You might want to start with a double batch… they get gobbled up quickly!

Ingredients

2 whole Granny Smith Apples

2 cans (8 Oz. Cans) Pillsbury Crescent Rolls

2 sticks Butter

1-1/2 cup Domino Sugar

1 teaspoon Vanilla

Cinnamon, To Taste

1 can (12 Oz.) Mountain Dew Soda

 Instructions

Peel and core apples. Cut each apple into 8 slices each. Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll. Place in a 9 x 13 buttered pan.

Melt butter, then add sugar and barely stir. Add vanilla, stir, and pour entire mixture over apples. Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve with ice cream, and spoon some of the sweet sauces from the pan over the top.
